Welford (Wilbur Lee) McCord was born on May 29,1952 to the late Sammie Mae McCord and the late Joe Rush in Bowman, SC. He was called to be with the lord on February 15,2023. He attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bowman. He was preceded in death by his mother Sammie Mae McCord and father Joe Rush, grandparents Sam and Nora McCord, seven aunts, one uncle and other relatives. He leaves to cherish fond memories his cousins: The Bradley’s, Capers, McCord’s and Summers; one uncle Nathaniel Rush of New York and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Thursday, February 23,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 7:00pm.

A graveside will be held on Friday, February 24,2023 at Sandy Run Cemetery in Bowman, SC beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
