Wanda (Ryant) Salley

Wanda was born August 11, 1957 in Cope, South Carolina to Clarence Ryant and Mable Parker Ryant. She departed her life on Friday, July 31, 2020. Wanda joined Canaan UM Church at an early age. 

Wanda was a 1975 graduate from Edisto High School. She was an honorary member of the Voices of Truth at Canaan United Methodist Church. 

For many years Mrs. Salley was the sole caregiver of her mother and father. Wanda is also known for her child care services for her family and friends. When you were around her there was never a dull moment. She enjoyed laughing and telling jokes. 

In 1985 Wanda married Larry D. Salley, to this union their daughter Misty L. Salley was born. 

Wanda was employed by Orangeburg County Special Needs and Disability Board. Wanda was also known for her flamboyant style of dressing and the love of accessories, especially jewelry. 

Preceding Wanda in death are her parents, Clarence (Mutt) and Mable (Missy) Ryant. Four brothers; Clarence Jr, Izell, Robert and Henry. 

Wanda leaves to cherish her memories her husband Larry Salley and two daughters Rhonda Ryant and Misty Salley; three grandchildren, Ashley, Zanee and Chris, one great-grand child Kyson; six sisters, Mable Bradley, Mildred Ryant, Pernell Ryant, Jessie (Clarence) Greene, Coffee Major, Gloria (Eugene) Boneparte and one brother, Jackie Ryant; six sisters- in- law and three brothers-in-law.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, August 6,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 2:00pm until 7:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Friday, August 7,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am.
