Mr. Walter Snider, son of the late David Snider, Sr and late Mrs. Emma Jane Jenkins Snider, was born on July 26, 1965, in Elloree, SC. He entered into eternal rest on September 9, 2023.
At an early age, he joined Shiloh A.M.E. Church. He graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in 1983. He worked as a Stucco-Mason and plasterer for many years. Walter was known for his fun-loving spirit and great sense of humor. He enjoyed cooking, dancing, and watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. One of the highlights of his life was spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
He was preceded in death by: his parents David Snider, Sr. and Mrs. Emma Jane Snider; three brothers: David Snider , Jr., Jacob Snider, and Howard Snider; and one sister, Mamie L. Snider.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His loving and devoted, Walteá Burton, son-in-law Frankie L. Burton; grandchildren: Dreyve’on Que Snider, Jayve’on Kyron Jamison, Jayla Debre’ Jamison, Jonathan Jahquez Jamison, Ja’Niya Denay Jamison, Ja’Kari Kyrie Jamison, and Leonná Denise Burton. One brother, Mr. John (Judy) Snider of Elloree; four sisters, Ms. Jannie Snider of Orangeburg, SC,Mrs. Carolyn S. Carter of Manning, SC, Mrs. Dorothy (Earl) Watson of LaGrange, GA, and Ms. Willa Dean Goodwin of Elloree. SC; sister-in-law Hailey R. Snider; five aunts, Christine Quattlebaum of Cameron, SC, Geraldine Lewis of San Jose, CA, Betty (Alfred) Turnipseed of Columbia, SC, Emily Stewart of New York, and Jessie Jenkins of Cameron, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, special friend Lu, and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 19,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm-7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 20,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
