Vertie Sweat Obituary
Vertie Lee Sweat was born on March 8, 1941 to the late Thomas Brown and Lizzie Russell Brown in Orangeburg, SC. She was called to be with the Lord on January 31, 2023.
Vertie was educated in Calhoun County Public Schools. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Rowesville, SC.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Lizzie Lee Loynes, Catherine Epps, Evelyn Brown and Flossie Mae Scott; two brothers, David Brown and Daniel Brown and two adopted sons, Jeffrey Scott and Leon Scott.
She leaves to cherish her memories one sister-in-law, Bessie Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing be held on Monday, February 6,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 7,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
