Valerie Thompson

Ms. Valerie “Val” Thompson, daughter of Ms. Flossie Thompson and the late Oscar Thompson. She was born on February 14, 1960 in Orangeburg South Carolina. 

Valerie received her education at Orangeburg Wilkinson High School. She departed her life on August 20, 2020 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg SC after a brief illness. 

She was employed at Marshall Elementary School for three years. 

Valerie Thompson’s loving memories will be cherished by her mother: Ms. Flossie Thompson (John). 

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Turner Thompson, Bobby Thompson, George Thompson, her sisters Barbara Jean Thompson and Harriet Thompson – Bonaparte, One grandson Sean P. Seibles. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her survivors; Three children: Myra Terrell Thompson–Seibles (Preston) of Winnsboro SC, Chiquita Teneshia Nicole Johnson (Christopher) of St. Matthews S.C. and Darius Wallace (Tanesha) of Columbia SC. Two sisters Zaretha Wine (Wilford) and, Jennifer Thompson. both of Orangeburg SC, Two brothers: Gordon Thompson (Barbara) Kenneth Thompson, and a very special friend: Calvin Johnson. Seven grandchildren: Khalil Keitt Sr., Juwan Keitt , Bryant Seible sand Brooklyn Seibles, all of Winnsboro SC, Shaqedra Johnson of Greenville SC and Christopher Hill Jr. of St Matthews SC De’Arie Smith. Four great grandchildren, Aayden Woodard, Khalil Keitt Jr., Kalea Keitt, Khairo Keitt, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Friday, August 28,2020 at Gover's Funeral Home at 12:00pm until 7:00pm.

The service will be held on Saturday, August 29,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm.
