Trent Gerome Johnson entered eternal rest at Richland Memorial Hospital during the early morning hours on October 22,2022. He was born on October 1, 1957 in Orangeburg County to the late James and Martha Johnson.
Trent attended public schools in Bowman, SC. He joined the military shortly after graduating from High School. Trent was employed at Kershaw Builders Inc in Lugoff, SC as a Senior Operator.
On August 6,2004, Trent married his wife Tammy Johnson I Orangeburg, SC and lived in Elgin, SC where they reared their children. Trent was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. With his caring and witty personality, he touched the heart of many people in his own special way. He was a gardener, a fisher, and also thought he was a master griller. He could be found relaxing in his man cave watching his Washington Commanders.
He was preceded in death by his father: James Johnson and mother: Martha Johnson.
Trent leaves to cherish his memories are his wife: Tammy Johnson, five children: Devin (Terra) Johnson of Edgefield, SC, Nicholas (Chanel) Johnson of Columbia, SC, Trent Johnson, Jr. and Tamara Johnson both of Columbia, SC, Tameshia Johnson of Elgin, SC; thirteen grandchildren: Cierra Johnson, Heaven Johnson, Lonelle Strong, Jasmine Johnson, Ava Osby, Nathan Johnon, Nicholas Johnson, Jr., Kenndey Johnson, Octavia Johnson, Cyona Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Maurice Bell, Taliah Bell, one brother: James L. (Claudia) Johnson of New Jersey, two sisters: Sheila J. Rowe of California, Deryl Guinyard of Orangeburg, SC; three sister-in-laws: Barbara (Curtis) Crawford and Sherry Sanders both of Abbeville, SC, Charlene (Walter) Parker of Atlanta, GA; one brother-in-law: Terry Lee Johnson of Abbeville, SC and a host of special nieces, loving nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Thursday, October 27,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Friday, October 28,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
