Theresa R. Mitchell

On Thursday, June 30, 2022, Theresa Randolph Mitchell entered eternal rest.  She was born to the late Raney Cornell Randolph, Sr. and Lugenia Morgan Randolph on November 25, 1948 in Orangeburg, SC.

Theresa attended Calhoun County Public Schools and Orangeburg County Public Schools.  She graduated with honors and was an outstanding math student.

Theresa was in the retail industry for approximately 27 years.  She started her career off selling Amway and Home Décor.  She was known to her clients as the “Spread Lady.”  She advanced and ended her career with Emro Marketing where she served as the Manager.  She was passionate about anything that she did and performed with excellence.  Theresa developed many relationships and mentored many people during her retail tenure. She became a member of the Progressive Order of Eastern Star in 1985.

She possessed many gifts and talents.  She loved math and was extremely good at it.  She could solve math problems without a struggle.  She was a hair stylist, builder, and interior decorator. It was nothing for Theresa to tear down a wall to create another opening while redesigning the new entry way.  She would build desks, bars, whatever she put her mind to.  She would paint, lay tile, whatever decorations or changes she wanted, she did it.  Theresa’s selfless acts of kindness, giving heart, and her ability to keep everyone’s secrets is what everyone loved about her. She was not a stranger to anyone that met her.  She was non-judgmental, fun, caring, and special to those that knew her.

Theresa leaves to cherish her memories:  her husband, Jasper Jack Mitchell, Jr.; four children, Terrace Buckmon, Sr., Wendy T. Buckmon, Dearie (Thaddeus, Sr.) Y. Coleman, Jasper Jack Mitchell, III; thirteen grandchildren, Terrace Jr, Qy-Dearia, DaNeisha, Terryn, Jakea, Montyia, Jasper, Tha-De’, Thaddeus Jr., Jamaree, Zoey, Jeremiah, Melody; five great-grandchildren, Tayvon, Za’Mora, Jackson, Summer, Justice; three sisters, Faith L. Glover, Dearie (Leonard, Sr.) Huggins, Martha Johnson; two brothers, Leverne (Shirley) Randolph, Gerald Randolph; two sister-in-laws, Yvonne (John) Wilson, Patricia (William) Harris; three brother-in-laws, Harold J. Mitchell, Melton L. Mitchell, Jimmy C. Mitchell and a host of relatives and friends that loved, adored, and cherished her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Raney C. Randolph, Jr., Timothy Randolph; two sisters, Patricia Randolph and Mary Hampton.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Friday, July 8,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home from 3:30pm until 8:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 9,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
