Theresa Goldsmith-Owens, affectionately known as “Tee” was a woman of quiet strength and boundless love. She was born in Branchville, South Carolina on December 18, 1962, to the late David E. Goldsmith and the late Mary L. Buskey Goldsmith. On Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Medical University of South Carolina – Orangeburg, she exchanged time for eternity, leaving behind a legacy of grace and goodness.
Theresa was the embodiment of a virtuous woman—strong in spirit, dignified in presence, and kind in heart. lived a life that exemplified grace, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a caring daughter and sister, and a steadfast friend. Her life was a testimony of compassion, humility, and unwavering faith. She had a heart for service and a spirit that brought comfort and joy to those around her.
She was a proud graduate of Branchville High School and attended South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC. Throughout her professional life, she dedicated herself to serving others, working at Ambler Industries Inc. and later retiring from The Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg. Whether at work or in her personal life, Theresa served with grace and selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary L. Buskey Goldsmith; her beloved sisters, Betty Goldsmith Fields and Shirley Ann Summers; and her dear brothers, Gregory and Robert Goldsmith.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Eric Owens of Bamberg, SC; devoted daughters, Erica Owens of the home and Diamond (Cory) Chatman of Orangeburg, SC, who was lovingly reared in the home; as well as a stepson Jacobi Owens of Aiken, SC. Also, she is survived by her loving sister, Daisy (Ronald) Goldsmith Davis of Columbia, SC; her brother, Elijah Goldsmith of Branchville, SC. Theresa also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren who brought her great joy and pride. In addition, she is survived by two special aunts, Lottie Johnson and Jesse Lee Buskey, both of Branchville, SC. Also, a loving mother-in-law Dorothy Payne of Orangeburg, SC; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. She will be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and care.
Theresa’s life was a beautiful reflection of God’s love. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, and every memory shared by those she touched. We find comfort in knowing that she now rests in eternal peace, clothed in strength and dignity, just as she lived. Heaven has truly gained an angel.

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 22,2025 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 6:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 23,2025 at St. James Church of God 1946 Kennerly Rd. Orangeburg, SC 29118 beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
