Mr. Theodore “CoCo” Griddle was born in St. Matthews, SC on April 4, 1955 to the late Mr. Clatus, Sr. and Mrs. Reather Shivers Griddle. He was called from his earthly home on December 4, 2024 to enteral rise.
Theodore received his education in Calhoun County public schools. At a young age he joined Greater Mt. Pisgah AME Church.
Theodore was a farmer. He loved his animals and loved his antiques. Theodore worked for Orangeburg Milling Company and Orangeburg Stock Yard. For many years until his retirement.
Theodore is proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers: Christopher Griddle and Freddie Shivers, his sister: Blanche Heatley, his brother-in-law: Larry King and Bobby (Debra) King; his mother-in-laws: Sheldonia Murph and Rosabell King-Murph, and his father-in-law: Ezekiel Murph.
Thedore leaves to cherish his loving memories: his devoted wife of 31 years: Annice Eartheal Griddle of Orangeburg, SC; children: Erica Murph and Shianne Redmond of Orangeburg, SC; Freddie Shivers, Jr. of Greenville, SC; three brothers: Clatus (Emma) Griddle, Jr. of Orangeburg, SC, Mr. Willie H. (Magnolia) Griddle of St. Matthews, SC and Thomas (Cynthia) Griddle of Orangeburg, SC; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sister-in-laws: Carrie King and Laura Keller of St. Matthews, SC, and Vivian King of Orangeburg, SC and a host of friends, acquaintances, cousins, nephews and nieces that loved Coco dearly.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Thursday, December 12,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 13,2024 at Greater Mt. Pisgah AME Church beginning at 1:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
