Teresa Nadine Nash, a loving mother to her only daughter, Lillian Marie Wright, and a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina took her final rest after a brief illness at the Regional Medical Center on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Teresa is the daughter of the late Mary and Theodore Nash and the youngest daughter of seven children.
Teresa received her formal education through Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5, and then attended Johnson C. Smith University and Claflin University. Teresa worked as a manager at World Finance, Low Country Healthy Start, and Orangeburg and Calhoun County School District as a substitute teacher.
Besides her daughter, Teresa greatest love was when she organized her own business called, “Stroke of Love”, where she volunteered her money, time and energy assisting others. Teresa held a strong belief in God, family, church and her friends. She never met a stranger and she was a faithful member of Unity Church where she would always extend her hand to help anyone.
Teresa was an avid Prince (Purple Rain) fan and a beautiful person to be around. She always had a smile on her face and something funny to say. She will be missed for her quick wit, her laughter, hosting special events, and being a comfort to those who needed her guidance and love.
Teresa was preceded in death by both parents, grandmother (Lillie Bell Jones), aunt (Naomi Reed), uncle (Jack Jones), and nephew (Julian Nash). She is also survived by her siblings—Cathy Pressey, Sandra (Lonnie) Roberts, Daniel (Hilary) Lewis, Lori Bravo, Russell Nash, Jamie (Bridgett) Nash, special sister Mercedes Walker, special Aunt Dorothy Canteen, and special friends Carlos Miller and Angela Gordon.
