Sarah Wales, 18, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on August 2, 2025. Born on July 27, 2007, in Johns Creek, Georgia, Sarah brought light and laughter to those around her from the very beginning.
A recent graduate of North Paulding High School, Sarah had just celebrated a major milestone in May and was preparing to begin her next chapter at Georgia Highlands College this fall. She had been accepted into the nursing program and was eager to pursue a career dedicated to helping others—a reflection of her compassionate spirit.
Sarah was known among those who loved her as the family comedian. Her intelligence and articulate nature were matched by a deep well of empathy and kindness. Whether she was making someone laugh with a perfectly timed joke or offering a listening ear during difficult times, Sarah had an extraordinary ability to connect with people.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. When feeling well, she could often be found on the tennis court or riding her bike through the neighborhood. She also cherished quiet moments spent on the porch, taking in the beauty of nature around her. Animals held a special place in her heart—her beloved hamster Reggie and cat Cookie were constant companions who brought her comfort and joy.
Sarah’s faith was an important part of her life. Having accepted the Lord as her savior during her teenage years, she often turned to prayer as a source of strength and peace. She prayed regularly for those she loved, embodying a quiet devotion that touched many.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her mother Jennifer Williams and stepfather Ricky Williams; siblings Malcolm, Jordan, Christina, Rachel, and Hannah; grandfather Joseph Stretch Jr. of Brooklyn, NY and bonus grandma Ann Porter. Five devoted aunts—Robin Thornton of Brooklyn, NY, Kimberly Wallace (Mike) of Abbeville, AL, Monica Stretch of Owings Mills, MD, Lakilya Carter of Abbeville, AL, and Demetria Mills (Jamal) of Abbeville, AL; one uncle Frank Porter (Cynthia) of Powder Springs, GA; along with many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Sarah was preceded in death by her cherished grandmother Shirley Stretch.
Though her time here was far too short, Sarah’s legacy lives on in the laughter she shared, the love she gave so freely, and the memories held close by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing and serve as a reminder of the beauty she brought into this world.
