Reflections of Life

Staff Sergeant Alexander Andrew Thomas, son of the Reverend Alexander A. Thomas and the late Luretha P. Thomas was born on May 31, 1977 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was affectionately known as A.T. amongst family and friends. He grew up in the great city of North Augusta, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on May 28, 2023.  

 A.T. graduated from North Augusta High School and later attended South Carolina State University. He served 11 years in the United States Air Force.  He was employed by the Family Dollar of Goldsboro, NC as the manager.  

A.T. attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Aiken, SC. 

A.T. is preceded in death of his mother, Mrs. Luretha P. Thomas. 

SSgt. Thomas leaves to cherish his fond memories are: his father: Reverend Alexander (Diane) Thomas; his life Partner, Tara Althloff; one son: Kayce; one sister: Kie (William)Thomas Wilson of Indianapolis, Indiana; nephews: Ezra and Eli Wilson; one uncle: Willis Benjamin (Catherine) Thomas; two aunts: Linda (Major) White and Mammie Thomas; grand aunt: Gene (Lemuel) Thomas-White of White Plains, New York, relatives: Fredrica Keitt and Ivory C. Thomas III; step siblings: Kayla Mayes and Christopher Calloway, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services for SSgt. Alexander Andrew Thomas will proceed as follows:

The Viewing will be Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glover’s Funeral Home Chapel.

The Funeral Service will be Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Glover’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Staff and all those attending must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.

Friends may call at Glover’s Funeral Home. The family will receive guests at the residence of his father, Reverend Alexander Thomas, 2315 Chestnut Street, Orangeburg, SC.
