Ryan Daniel Brice Jones Obituary

Ryan Daniel Brice Jones affectionately called “Danny”, was born August 28, 1993, to Lalisa Annette Greene Jones and Rodney Lee Jones.  God called him home to sit at the foot of His throne on December 30, 2022.  At an early age his mother introduced him to the Israelite way of life, although there was not a temple nearby for them to attend, she always reminded him of his faith.  Danny attended Ms Shelly Upward Prep in Roosevelt, NY and because of his high IQ he was admitted to the Roosevelt Children’s Charter Academy.  At the age of 3 Danny could speak Spanish and was reading at the age of 4. He also loved to play baseball and loved to watch the cartoons “Danny Fathom” and “Dragon Ball Z” especially the character Vegeta.   During his childhood his mother moved him to Orangeburg SC, where he attended Brookdale Elementary, Robert E. Howard Middle School, and Orangeburg Wilkinson HS.  He enjoyed playing the trumpet and baseball.  Danny  later went on to attended OC tech to obtain his GED. His enthusiasm encouraged his mom to pursue her college degree.  Danny loved his family, he always wanted to be around them, especially his mom.   As a child he would always save his chicken nuggets, fries and half a burger for her, to make sure she ate.

From an early age Danny was a lovable child. By the age 17 was he diagnosed with schizophrenia.   Throughout his many challenges, He had a loving spirit and was also known for his sense of humor which made him a joy to be around, he kept a party and gathering lively.  He responded to seniors and youth alike with a loving and generous nature.  He had an amazing, dazzling smile that would light up the room whenever you saw him.  He would always go out of his way to help others, for example when his friend informed him, she did not have money for her medicine, he gave blood in order to get funds for her medicine.  When another friend needed diapers for his child, Danny went out and got a bag of diapers.

At 25, his daughter Nhovia whom he loved dearly, and affectionately called “Biscuit” was born.   He was always thinking of others before himself.  He had a long battle with his illness but did not let it get him down.  He loved to dress in style and loved to eat.  With his loving heart, many wanted to be around hm, he trusted everybody.  He had many people he considered his friends.

Although Danny’s presence will be no more, he will always be remembered in our hearts.  He was preceded in death by his uncle Warren Thomas Greene, and grandmother Dorothy (Docka) Jones.  He Is survived by his loving mother, LaLisa Annette Greene Jones, father Rodney Lee Jones, grandfather Abraham Greene, grandmother Willie-Mae Greene, grandfather Fred Jones, his daughter Nhova aka Biscuit.  Aunts: Sonia, Youlander , and Kiona Greene, uncles: Kevin and Walter Jones, cousins:  Iasia, Rateis, Almeshah, Jaron, Danashia, Jauron, Kile, Jabril,  Abdul-Jalil.
