Rose Marie Jenkins

Mrs. Rose Marie “Ree” Jenkins was born on April 9, 1946 to the late John Wesley and Salley Mae Grimes Ramsey of Orangeburg,South Carolina. On April 5, 2021 Marie was summoned into God’s loving care after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by three sons, Bernard Haynes, Robert (Rob Boy) Haynes, Leroy (Boochie) Jenkins Jr. and two daughter Amazinia Jenkins and Rapunzel Jenkins; and five brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Jenkins was affectionally known as Ree by all family and friends. She will always be remembered in her community for extending her home to all who needed a place to rest as no one was considered a stranger.
She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, and helping the community any way she can. Before her calling, she wanted all her family to get together one last time. She will be missed by so many people especially her husband and grandchildren.

Rose leaves to carry her legacy of love and to cherish her precious memories; her husband Leroy (Jenks) Jenkins of the home; two Brother in laws, Robert Jenkins, and Rev. Herman (Annette) Jenkins of Orangeburg; five sister in law’s, Helen Johnson, Barbara Ann (George) Butler, Gloria Riley of Orangeburg, SC, Willie Mae Jones of Philadelphia, PA, and Lucille Richardson of Bowman, SC; two daughters in law, Christine Haynes and Sharon Jenkins; four gra nddaughters, Bernice Haynes of Manhattan, NY, Samantha Clark of Orangeburg, SC, Zakiya Glover Jenkins of Orangeburg, SC, and Sharell Haynes of Orangeburg, SC; two grandsons, Deangelo Brown and Clayton Robinson of Orangeburg, SC; three great grandchildren, Ty’Quan Bronson, Khailhia Wilson and Jamari’ Wilson all of Orangeburg, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 14,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home at 12:00pm until 7:00pm.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 15,2021 at Andrew Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
