Rose Marie “Ree” Aiken was born on January 3, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York. She peacefully departed this life at The Oaks of Orangeburg surrounded by love and cherished memories.

Ree was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Aiken, Sr. and Nellie Aiken. She was a devoted mother to her four children: Christopher Aiken, Elizabeth Aiken, Isaac Aiken, and Steven Aiken. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of loving grandchildren.

Rose shared a special bond with her siblings: the late Robert Aiken, Jr., Stanley Aiken, Curtis Aiken, Geneva Aiken, Marion (Shanika) Aiken, and Derrick Keitt.

She was a proud graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School and attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, where she studied Early Childhood Development.

Rose was employed with the Orangeburg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, where she dedicated herself to serving others with compassion and care. She also participated in the PACE program.

Rose was known for her strong work ethic, warm spirit, and love for dancing. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The service will proceed as follows: 

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 27,2026 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 6:00pm. 

The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 28,2026 at Glover's Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00am.
