Romeo Almonds, Sr.

ROMEO ALMONDS, SR was born to the late Mr. George Almonds and Emma Ruth S. Almonds, on March 11, 1961 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He attended the public schools of Orangeburg. 

In 1979, Romeo met Mrs. Jean Almonds, they fell in love and later decided to get married. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with their beautiful chil-dren. He was an amazing father, husband, and brother who took pride in supporting his family in all of their endeavors. He was extremely ambitious and a true entrepreneur. He was employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) for several years before pursuing a career in remodeling houses. 

Romeo was a member of the Old Mount Zion Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and would always encour-age family and friends to be a beacon of light that will inspire the world. His faith in God never wavered, even during his extended time of illness. 

Romeo enjoyed watching sports, spending time with family, and meeting new people. He was definitely a man of wisdom who shared his many talents with those he came in contact with over the years. He was very generous and enjoyed helping those in need. 

After a long, hard-fought battle, he departed this life July 22, 2020 at the age of 59. He leaves to cherished memories with his beloved wife, Jean Almonds; children: Rochelle Almonds, Romeo Almonds, Jr, Romeo (Courtney) Almonds III, Romeo Almonds, IV, and Diamond Owens; grandchildren: Braylon Rashaud Almonds, Gracelyn Mackenzie Jeffries, Zariyah Faith Almonds, Taquon Owens, and Malina Owens, godson: Joshua Dickson; siblings: Wanda McMorris, Juliet (Joseph) Dickson, Sr., Tina Williams, and Janette Almonds; in-laws: Eartha (Wilbur) Frederick, Alexan-der (Linda) Moorer, Jr., Rachel (Phillip) Williams, Robert Moorer; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and family and friends.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 28,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 7:00pm.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 3:00pm.
