Robert Barry Moore, affectionately known as Barry, transitioned to a higher plain on July 9, 2021 at the Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was born to the late Evelyn Moore Lomax on October 31, 1953. He finished Brewer High School in Greenwood, SC with a Certificate of Completion.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents and Warren Jervy Hampton, his brother-in-law.

Barry lived a simple and fulfilled life. He enjoyed riding with his sister on trips to sporting events, festivals and various family activities. He would always find a way to get you to stop so he could get some cookies for the ride. When he attended the Orangeburg County Disability and Special Needs Program, he was a good worker. In his spare time, Barry enjoyed drawing, coloring and sitting on the porch. With a loving heart, he always cared about people and would constantly ask how everyone is doing.

He is survived by his sister, Angela Lomax Hampton of Orangeburg, SC; his niece, Shekinah Shalom Hampton of Augusta, GA; two aunts, Mrs. Daisy M. Moore of Greenwood, SC and Ms. Marilyn Moore Klugh of West Columbia, SC; an uncle, Arnett Klugh, Jr. of Columbia, SC and several cousins to mourn his passing.
As Barry would say when he had enough, “I’m ready to go.” So family and friends, today we say, “See you later Barry until we meet again

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 14,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 7:00pm.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 15,2021 at Belleville Memorial Gardens beginning at 3:00pm. All those attending service must  wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
