Mr. Robert L. Harrington was born on August 13, 1945 to Mrs. Connie Harrington and Mr. Horace Harrington, Sr. in Bennettsville, South Carolina. His childhood was a sad one as he lost his mother at a very young age, and he would go on to lose his father too. With no parents, he was eternally grateful to his elder siblings and their spouses for their commitment to caring for and raising him to young adulthood. He knew he would have been an orphan without their love. As a child, he was educated in the local public school system and finished his formal education at Eastside High School. In his young adulthood, he followed his siblings and relocated to New York. Once there, he found love and married. From this marriage came two children: Lorenzo and Cassandra. He lived and worked in New York for more than ten years before divorcing and relocating back home to his beloved South Carolina. It was here that he found love again and remarried his now widow, Mrs. Pearlene Harrington. From this marriage came three children: Erick, Deymien, and Xavia. Once in South Carolina, he felt called to follow Christ as a Missionary Baptist instead of Methodist. In 1989, he was baptized at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church by the late Rev. James Glover. He loved baseball, football, and Sunday dinners. While he rooted for USC and Clemson equally, he loved South Carolina State University the most. He never missed watching or listening to a SC State football game. He could tell you exactly what the score was and why. He transitioned to be with the Lord on the morning of December 2, 2021; he passed peacefully in his sleep. In his death, he is survived by many of his dear family and fond friends, which include, his siblings: LaFaye Keith, Ethel Boomer, Adam Harrington-deceased, Laila Bennett-deceased, Mildred Foster-deceased, Connie Bennett-deceased, Lenora Peques-deceased, & Horace Harrington-deceased; his special nieces and nephews: Hazel Bennett, John Frank Bennett, Patricia Ann Harrington, Laura Jean Meyers, Jackie Adam Harrington, Mary Ann Peques, George Edward Peques; his wife, Mrs. Pearlene Harrington; his children; and many many others.
