Richard Thomas

Mr. Richard Thomas was born in Orangeburg, SC on August 21, 1944 to the late Levy and Alice Thomas. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Jolly Acres Nursing Home. At an early age he was a member of North Orangeburg United Methodist Church. He attended public schools in Orangeburg, SC. He was a dedicated Chef at Orangeburg County Club for years. He was a loving and caring uncle who was always there for his family. Richard was preceded in death by his sister: Rosa Moorer and his brothers: Levi “Bubba” Thomas, Leroy Thomas and Marion Thomas. Richard leaves to cherish his memories to a special honorary great niece: Barnette Johnson; two special nieces; Sherron “Oola” Johnson and Shanicwa Moorer all of Orangeburg, SC; one sister: Mattie Jones of Orangeburg, SC; one brother: Joseph (Helen) Thomas of Orangeburg, SC; Alvin (Diane) Thomas of North Carolina; one niece: Brenda (Levine) Dash of Orangeburg, SC; two nephews: Larry (Daisy) Moorer and Sheldon Moorer, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends that will miss his dearly.

The service will proceed as follows:

The  viewing will be held on Saturday, October 29,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, October 30,2022 at North Orangeburg United Methodist Church beginning at 2:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
