Paris O’neathia Sweeper was born on May 6, 1975, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was the first daughter of Andrew and Betty H. Sweeper. On Monday, October 3, she departed this life for her heavenly home.
Educated in the schools of Orangeburg County, she graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in 1993. She continued her education at Winthrop University and earned a bachelor’s degree in 1997. After graduation she began a career in retail management and worked for many years at Walgreen’s in Columbia and Orangeburg. She later joined the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles working at several branches. At the time of her passing, she was the branch supervisor of the Orangeburg Branch.
She had a passion for entrepreneurship and was an advocate for women in business, always willing to support and promote a fellow entrepreneur. For many years, she provided countless women with glamour products and tips through her business, Timeless Beauti by Paris, serving as a consultant for brands such as Mary Kay, Flori Roberts, BeautiControl, and L’Bri. She wholeheartedly believed that a fierce lipstick (especially her signature red) could make any day better.
As a child, she began her spiritual journey at Antioch Baptist Church in Bowman. While living in Columbia, she was a member of Brookland Baptist Church, where she was baptized. She later joined Unity Fellowship Community Church in Orangeburg, where she served as Youth Director and Youth Sunday School Teacher. She also attended many services at St. John Baptist Church in Cameron supporting her mother.
