On December 12, 2022, God called his faithful servant home Nathaniel “Budget” Vanzego, Sr. to eternal rest. Nathaniel Vanzego was born January 4, 1958 to the late Mr. Joseph Aiken Vanzego and Hattie Lou Vanzego.
At an early age Nathaniel attended Emmanuel AME church. He wears many hats in helping out in the church whatever was asked of him.
Nathaniel attended the public school in Orangeburg, SC. He continued his education at Morgan Field, Kentucky.
Nathaniel was married to Mary A. D. Vanzego they were blessed with four children.
Nathaniel is preceded in death by his parents Hattie L. Hayward and Joseph A. Vanzego and his brother Earl Vanzego.
Those left to cherish his many fond memories are his sons, Jamie D. (Melissa) Vanzego of Flowery, GA, Derrick (Jennifer J.) Vanzego of Elgin, SC, Nathaniel Vanzego Jr. of Pharr, TX, and Jamario D. (Kwasiya) Vanzego of Columbus, GA; 17 grandchildren, 4 great grands; 1 aunt Hattie M. Huggins; Sisters, Eva V. Hill (John) of Orangeburg, SC and Diane Vanzego Summers of Bamberg, SC; his brothers, Joe A. ( Karen) Vanzego and Willie Hayward both of Bamberg, SC, and Roger Vanzego of Branchville, SC; his brothers in laws; Bobby L. (Delores) Hampton of Orlando, FL, Russell Davis and Ivey J. (Delores) Davis both of Denmark, SC, James R. (Barbara) Davis of Orangeburg, SC; and Edward S. (Mary A.) Davis of Bamberg, SC; his sisters in laws, Lillie M.A. Davis of Orangeburg, SC, Elaine D. (James) Reed of Columbia, SC, and Sheila D. Davis of Cope, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 14,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 15,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
