Naomi Brenda Mae Pelzer was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on March 15, 1954 to the late Freddie W Pelzer Sr. and Naomi Kelly Pelzer. She went to the with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2023. She was preceded in death by her siblings Alma Holmes, Henry B Pelzer, Hilda P Whitesides, Raymond Richardson, and sister-n-law Julia (Cindy) Pelzer.
Brenda gave her life to Christ at an early in Bowman, SC. Her family moved to Mount Vernon, New York when she was 5 years old for numerous years. She became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, New York. While growing up, her parents instilled in her to value herself and to stand strong as an individual. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Mt Vernon, NY. After attending college in the 70’s, she chose to attend a trade school as well to further her studies in New Hampshire. She worked as an office manager and secretary for numerous years in Chesterfield, VA and White Plains, NY.
Her interests included Bowling with their team called “The Hustlers” alongside her brothers, enjoying the city life, fashion, knitting, she loved music, singing, dancing, being with her family, and taking care of her son Ernie. In 2005, she became ill and was relocated to South Carolina to live with her sister, Hilda. She rededicated her life to Christ and joined New Covenant United Methodist Church in Bowman SC.
Holding Naomi Brenda Mae Pelzer closely in their hearts are her son Ernest Studevant, Jr. of Richmond, VA; two brothers: Freddie W (Willa) Pelzer, Jr of Douglasville GA, Clyde E. Pelzer of Fairfax, VA; a special aunt and caregiver, Evelyn Glover of White Plains, NY; sister-n-laws Leona (Wendy) Pelzer of Douglasville, GA, Priscilla Richardson of Bowman, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Thursday, April 13,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Friday, April 14,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
