Kiafa Javon Busby was born on June 8, 1987 in Richland County, Columbia, South Carolina, the son of Ethel G. Busby and the late John H. Busby. He entered into eternal rest on May 17, 2023 at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina following a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, John H. Busby and a sister, Quandra M. Busby.
Kiafa graduated from Orangeburg Christian Academy in Orangeburg, South Carolina in May of 2005 where he was a member of the Soccer Team. At an early age, he joined Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cordova, South Carolina.
He later joined Edisto Fork United Methodist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Kiafa worked at several plants in Charlotte, North Carolina before returning to Orangeburg, South Carolina where he worked as a Manager at McDonald’s Restaurant on Homestead Road in Bowman, South Carolina.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: his mother, Ms. Ethel G. Busby; a sister, Ms. Nikia Busby; a nephew, Tyerik Busby; uncles, Mr. Nathaniel (Marion) Busby all of Orangeburg, South Carolina and Mr. Brad Busby of Chicago, Illinois and a host of other relatives and friends.Services for Mr. Kiafa Javon Busby will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be Friday, May 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glover’s Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Glover’s Funeral Home Chapel.
Staff and all those attending must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
Friends may call at Glover’s Funeral Home. The family will receive limited guest due to COVID-19.
