Melvin Knotts Jr.

Melvin Lowell (Low) Knotts was born to the late Melvin and Anna I. Knotts on November 13,1948. He entered eternal rest on July 30,2023.

He graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1967. He served in the United States Army for six years. After serving his country he began a career in the construction industry which he worked for many years.

He was untied in holy matrimony to Betty Jean Shuler and to this union four children were born.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory four children: Keasha Knotts of Charlotte, NC, Stacy Knotts, Bryan Knotts and Lyntoya( Shelton) Collier all of Orangeburg, SC; one stepson: tony Shuler of Orangeburg, SC; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, one brother: Robert Knotts of Irmo, SC; one sister: Sandra P. Knotts; one aunt: Mary Chandler of Jacksonville, FL; two sister-in-laws; four brother-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Sunday, August 6,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Monday, August 7,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
