Marion L. Riley, Sr., was born on February 6, 1954 in the Four Holes Community of Orangeburg County. He was born to the late Marin Johnson and Elease Riley and was
raised by his stepfather James Palmer.
Marion received his education from Bethune Memorial. At an early age Marion attended Andrew Chapel Baptist Church. He later moved his membership he attended Good Shepherded Community Ministries until his health declined.
Marion worked for Food Lion, worked as a mechanic and was also a transporter for M&M Transportation.
Marion was preceded in death by his daughter: Gale Riley Quattlebaum and granddaughter: Corrisca Brown.
Marion leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife: Margaret S. Riley; six children: Lisa Riley, Angie (William) Dunn, Marion Riley, Jr., Kisha Riley, Tomeka Green, Zachary (Margueritta) Green, two step children: Samuel (Tina) Fogle, and Margaret (Willie) Sherman all of Orangeburg, SC; three sisters: Apostle Ernestine Pearson, Evangelist Shirley (Daniel) Whetstone
and Evangelist Gladis Lawton all of Orangeburg, SC; one brother: Bennie (Albertha) Snider of Cameron, SC; 19 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives that will miss him dearly.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Saturday, December 30,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, December 31,2023 at Church of the Living God 122 Larkin Dr. Orangeburg, SC beginning at 2:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
