Marion Fairey, Jr.

Marion Fairey, Jr. was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion and Bertha Mae Frederick Fairey. He departed this life on August 14, 2020 at Prisma Heart Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Marion attended school in Orangeburg County, graduating from Bethune Bowman High School, after which he worked and lived in Philadelphia, Pa. Marion was employed at Southern Railroad until he retired. He attended church and was a member of The Church of God by Faith in Orangeburg. 

He was proceeded in death by his wife Evelyn Larkin Fairey, daughter Racqual Fairey, granddaughter Rhagean Fairey, mother Bertha Mae Frederick Fairey, Father Marion Fairey Sr, sister Marie Fairey, brothers Herman Lee Fairey and Arthur Fairey. 

He leaves to cherish his fond memories: Sons: Troy (K’aryress) Callaway, Gerald (Cheri) Fairey, Marion (Tawny) Fairey, Hasani (Marie) Fairey, Daughters Angel (Ahmad) Darby, Evelyn Fairey. Brother Lynn (Dorothy) Fairey, Sisters Carolyn (Will) Peeples, Mary Pauling and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The service will be proceed as follows:

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 26,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am.
