Maggie Laverne Berry Fogle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed from this life leaving behind a tapestry of love and cherished memories on December 24,2024. Born in Rowesville, South Carolina, Maggie's journey on this earth began in a nurturing home with her parents, Mr. William and Mrs. Omega Berry. Throughout her life, she was a beacon of strength and hope, touching the lives of many who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Maggie was a lifelong learner, having graduated from Bethune Memorial High School, and later obtained her Bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State College. She furthered her education with a BS in Organizational Management from Voorhees College, and obtained specialized certificates in Financial and Administrative practices from the University of Missouri, as well as Governmental Accounting from the University of South Carolina. Her dedication to education was evident in her esteemed career, which included positions at the Lower Savannah Council of Government (LSCG) for ten years, the Orangeburg Department of Employment and Workforce, and as a valued member of the staff at Bethune Bowman Elementary School.
A woman of faith and service, Maggie was an active member of both Forest Chapel United Methodist Church and Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Her spiritual life was a source of inspiration and strength, guiding her through the countless challenges and triumphs of life.
Maggie was blessed to share 15 wonderful years in marriage with her devoted husband, Mr. Robert “Bobby” Fogle. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, creating a family that would become her pride and joy.
She is preceded in death by one son, Anthony Rogers(Molly).
She is survived by her cherished children, Shanequa Fogle-Lewis (Ramar) and Roshawn Fogle, who were not only her offspring but also her greatest blessings.
Maggie's legacy extends to her seven adored grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Akira Cheyenne Rogers, who was the apple of her eye and reared in her home, Mikial Graham, Sr. of Augusta, GA, Nicholas Hodges of Hopewell, VA, Jada Fogle of Stockbridge, GA, Tamirra Fogle of Bowman, SC, Olivia Lewis of Columbia, SC, and Roshawn Fogle, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, will forever carry her spirit with them. She also delighted in her four great-grandchildren, Mikaial Graham, Jr., and Milani Graham of Augusta, GA, Nayomii Hodges, and Ivee Hodges of Hopewell, VA, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Maggie's family also included her sister, Penny Berry, and her brother, William Berry (Rosa). She shared a special bond with her sister-in-law, Bessie White (Wilson, Sr.), and her brother-in-law, Bennie Fogle. Her aunt, Bertha Dean Boyd, along with her nephew, Luciano Berry, who was reared in her home, added further warmth to her family circle. Maggie held her two special cousins, Dr. Ollie Boyd and Min. Gregory Wideman, dear to her heart, and her goddaughter, Karan Carter, was a shining light in her life. She was also blessed with close friends, Vern Sanders and Libby Dobson, who were always there to support her.
As we remember Maggie Laverne Berry Fogle, we celebrate a life filled with love, wisdom, and kindness.
She has left behind a legacy in the hearts of her family and friends, who will always remember her laughter, her nurturing spirit, and her unwavering love. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten, as her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched.

The viewing will be held on Friday, December 28,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm-6:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 29,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 10:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
