Mrs. Lucille Morgan Shuler, affectionately known as “Mrs. Cutt”, was the daughter of the late Mr. Norman Morgan, Sr. and Mrs. Minnie Murry Morgan. She was born on August 27, 1922 in Orangeburg South Carolina. She entered into eternal glory on April 5, 2020 peacefully at her home.
Mrs. Lucille was formally educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County. She was a loyal and dedicated employee for several years at the Orangeburg hospital on Carolina Avenue before her retirement.
Mrs. Lucille was a faithful member of Andrew Chapel Baptist Church. One of her favorite pastimes included fishing with Bernard and Annie, where she was always running from snakes. She also enjoyed attending singing programs at many of the area churches and venues and going to flea markets. She loved life and having fun. Mrs. Lucille was a member of the Golden Girls Social Club. This group was a sub-group of the Christian Berry Associates Group (CBA).
Mrs. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, the late John Wesley Shuler; children: Billy Shuler, Deloris Lloyd, Nathaniel Shuler and Catherine Ann Shuler-White. Siblings preceding her in death were: Mr. Samuel Morgan and Mrs. Lillie Morgan Wright.
She loves to mourn and cherish loving memories her sons: James (Penny) Shuler, Ernest Shuler, and Bernard (Annie) Shuler; five siblings: David N. (Dorothy) Morgan, Sadie Gilyard, Mary Clay Morgan, Lessie Berry and Adell Morgan Harvey; one son-in-law: Mr. James Boyd White; one special niece whom she took as her a daughter: Sadell Davis; many loving grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. And we would be remised to forget the many adopted children who loving called her “Ma Cutt.”
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Sunday,April 12,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 7:00pm.
A graveside service will be held on Monday,April 13,2020 at Andrew Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery 559 Big Buck Blvd Orangeburg,SC 29115 beginning at 11:00am.
