Lindy Lewis was born on June 23, 1949 to the late Ms. Georgiana Lewis and Mr. Elijah Blake. Lindy attended the public schools in Orangeburg County of South Carolina. Shortly after her schooling, she began her life in New York. In 1981 she returned to Orange- burg, SC.
Lindy leaves to celebrate her memories her life partner Van Lee Raysor; her daughters: Vanessa Greene, Kiesha (Johnny) Rivers, Sherese Greene, Sherrie Greene and April (Clayton) Garvin; her sons: Charles L. (Debbie) Greene, Eric W. Greene, Marcus Raysor and Van A. Raysor; 20 grandchildren: Jaquan Rivers, Tyrek Riv- ers, Quadarius Rivers, Mariah Greene, De’Joun Butler, Quine’Asia Williams, Quentin Williams, Jr., Quinique Williams, Jahki Greene, Makhi Johnson, Jeremiah Raysor, Joshua Raysor, Josiah Raysor, Jael Raysor, Jordyn Raysor, Lashanda (Demetrius) Johnson, Shanika Raysor, Shamika Raysor, Vanisha Raysor, and Van A. Raysor II; and one great grandchild: Ava Raysor; her sib- lings: Ellen (Marion) Ammonds, Ella L. Tennie and Madlyn (Rodney) Salley; her three godsisters: Margie Frazier, Lois Haynes and Vernell Green; two sisters-in-law: Lillie Salley and Joann Clark; three brothers-in-law: Ulysses Raysor, James Raysor and Willie Lee (AL) Jamison; two special nieces: Tanya Lewis and Brittany Ammonds along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The services will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 8:00pm.
The funeral service will held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at St. Paul Baptist Church located at 2259 Rowesville, South Carolina 29115 beginning at 11:00am
