Lillie Cain Obituary

Mrs. Lillie M. Robinson Cain, daughter of late Mrs. Emma A. Robinson and the late Henry Robinson, was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina.  She transitioned to be with the Lord on February 2, 2021.

She was a member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Lille was a missionary member of the Floral Club, the Senior Choir and Busy Bee Club.  She received a certificate of appreciation for many years of outstanding service to the Hazel F. Pierce-Victoria Scott Missionary Society.

She received the Christian Service Award in recognition for the leadership, dedication, inspiration and service to the beautification of New Mount Zion Baptist Church.  She was head of the kitchen committee for many years and with the committee for Vocational Bible School.  Her passion was helping others, flowers in her yard for every season and baking pies. She also planted flowers at New Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Every Easter since 1969 she has filled the rooms of her home with several different kinds of Easter bunnies from stuffed to inflatable.  This process was started by her granddaughter.  In 1993, the Times and Democrat Newspaper approached her to do an article entitled “The Bunny Lady, Lillie Cain Get into The Spirit of Easter Holiday”.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her dedicated and loving daughter, Loretta Cain Burns; son-in-law, Willie James; one granddaughter, Monique Lamone Phillips (Dr. M.D. Antonio); five great-grandsons, Antonio, Aaron, Austin, Amir and Amad Phillips.
