~A Time to Be Born~
Lillian Spells Frazier daughter the late Andrew and Thelma Johnson Spells, was born on January 19, 1933, in Cope, South Carolina.
~A Time to Learn and Work~
Lillian was educated in the public school of Orangeburg County. Lillian was employed with the Orangeburg Pecan Company as a Nut Grader and retired after many years of service.
~A Time to Love~
Lillian met and fell in love with the love of her life the late Artis Frazier. They were united in holy matrimony on August 20, 1958. Their union was blessed with two daughters – Linda Gail Frazier, who preceded them in death and Greta Frazier-Avery. She was also blessed with a daughter of love, Ruthie Sharperson.
~A Time to Worship~
Lillian joined the Canaan United Methodist Church at a very early age. She was later baptized in the name of Our Father, His Son and the Blessed Holy Spirit. She served as a door keeper as Usher and rendered song service on the Usher Board, Trustee Board Pastor Parish Ministry and was an active member United Women in Faith.
~A Time to Fellowship~
Lillian’s love of friends and community led her to become a loyal and faithful member of St. John Lodge # 2 Order of the Eastern Star affiliated with the William Grand Lodge, Orangeburg, SC. She was a founding member of the Les Demonior Social Club.
~ A time for leisure~
Lillian in her retirement years enjoyed attending church events, shopping, watching her stories and game shows, traveling, a lover of sports-watching football and basketball, going to any game where her grandson was playing, and spending time with her family.
~A Time to Mourn~
To continue her legacy and to celebrate her life, Lillian leaves her daughters, Greta Frazier-Avery of Columbia, SC and Ruthie (Phillip) Sharperson of Orangeburg, SC. Her memories will continue to be cherished by her grandchildren Jabari Tyrese Avery, Gail (Chris L.) Sharperson and Deitra (Lemetrius) Briggman of Columbia, SC; Shonna Brown and Keisha (Monroe) Fields of Orangeburg, SC. Eight great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren will also continue to love her dearly. Her memories will also be cherished by her sister-in-laws Lillian Spells and Betty Spells of Brooklyn, NY; Annie Ritter, Estelle Johnson, Queen Elizabeth Frazier, all of Orangeburg, SC and Patricia (Cary) Ryant of Cordova, SC and brother-inlaws Herman Frazier of Brooklyn, NY; Harold Frazier and Sheldon Frazier of Cope, SC; Roosevelt (Maggie) Frazier, Alexander Frazier all of Cordova, SC; and Nathaniel Frazier of Orangeburg, SC and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Preceding Lillian in death are her brothers Andrew Spells, Hubert Spells, Jake Spells, Oscar Spells and her sister Blondell Spells Ryant
~A time for reward~
Our Father commanded Lillian’s journey here on earth completed on Thursday morning, October 2, 2025. She heard the trumpet sounded for her to receive her crown, passed peacefully, entered His kingdom of healing and earned a new body through Christ Jesus.
She will be missed by all whose lives she touched but shall never be forgotten.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 7,2025 at 12:00pm, at Canaan United Methodist Church, 5659 Slab Landing Rd. Cope, SC 29038
