Leroy Curry Obituary
Mr. Leroy Thomas(Mr. Swinger)Curry, 97 returned to his heavenly home on February 3,2020 after a brief illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief on God ultimately gave him peace.
Mr. Curry was born to the late Allen Hampton and Ethel Hampton on July 17,1922. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Conner Curry, a daughter Anna L. Curry and two sons Thomas Curry and Gerald Curry.
He was blessed with a large and loving family. He was very kind and is dearly missed by his loved ones who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator. He worked at SCSU for 37 years.
Mr. Curry is survived by two daughters: Rether Brown and Beverly Curry both of Orangeburg,SC; two daughters-in-law: Dale Smoth and Roxy Curry of Orangeburg,SC; 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Sunday,February 9,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 8:00pm.
The funeral service will be held on Monday,February 10,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am.
