Lawyer Robert Ryant, born on August 26, 1943, left this earth on August 17, 2024 just days shy of his 81st. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Ollie Mae Johnson Ryant Robinson and Henry Ryant Sr, his sisters Gussie Johnson and Louise Wright, and his beloved son Anthony Ryant.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory sons Darren (Rudell) Ryant of Goose Creek, and Marcus (Shayla) Mack of Orangeburg; daughters Margie Jenkins and Choyia (Kendrick) Neals of Orangeburg; ex-wife Jannie Ryant of Cope; nineteen grandchildren Ray’Quan, Jae’Quan, Xavier, Tederic, Tiaerra, Deeariah (Keenan), Derrick, Jabari, Shydaesha, Noah, Darius, Lavincia (Mario), Nadia, Briona, A’Kylah, Anari, Arion, Saniya, and Marcus Jr.; five siblings Henry (Connie) Ryant Jr. of Cope, Pastors Willie (Vandria) Robinson of Orangeburg, Evangelist Gail (Anthony) Fogle of Orangeburg, Pastor Icelene (David) Prince of Orangeburg and James Albert Robinson of Orangeburg. Robert also leaves behind fifteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other beloved family members and friends. His special friend Elaine Jamison and all who knew him will miss him dearly. Robert lived a robust life, known for his infectious laugh and his love of fishing, hunting, and cooking skills.
He was a hardworking man who dedicated many years of service and eventually retired from South Carolina State University as a carpenter. His presence will be sorely missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Special acknowledgment to all of the helping hands that assisted with the care of our dad -from the rides to appointments to the food and everything in between. Know that God sees and will bless you for it!

The viewing will be held on Friday, August 23,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 24,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
