Larry Reid Bonner (Milkman) was born in Brooklyn, NY November 6, 1948 to the late Archie and Addie Bonner.
He was raised in Bath NC where he attended Belhaven High School.
After high school Larry was drafted into the Army where he served 4 years. Later he decided he wanted to drive trucks and moved to New York there he landed his first job as a truck driver. He moved to Orangeburg, SC to drive for Santee Cement Company after leaving he went to Heilig-Meyers for 15 plus years earning numerous awards.
After closing of the company, he went on to drive for Wagner Trucking Company. Later he brought his own truck and worked for himself until he started having health issues.
To cherish his memories his loving wife Louise Bonner (Sister). Three Daughters Quanza (Anthony) Hamilton of Riverdale Georgia, Dion (Robert) Jackson of Waterbury, CT, and Susan Sherman of Orangeburg SC. Two sons Willie (Margaret) Sherman of Orangeburg SC, and Larry Bonner Jr. of Waterbury, CT who preceded him in death, along with two bothers Lonnie Bonner and Bobbie Gibbs, and one living brother Michael Bonner of Bath, NC. One sister Diane Bonner of Bath, NC. Four sisters-in-law Shirley Glover, Deloris Glover of Bowman SC, Barbara Glover of Orangeburg, SC and Jackie Bonner of Bath, NC. Six brothers- in-law Adam Glover, Daniel (Jessie) Glover of Bowman SC, Franklyn (Salena) Glover, Edd Glover and Kayton Bryant all of Orangeburg, SC.
One deceased brother-in-law Ned Glover. One special niece and nephew Lonasia Bonner of Bath, NC and Mychal Bonner of Charlotte NC, nine grandchildren and twelve great
grandchildren and a host of other relative and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Friday, August 4,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 5,2023 at Rock Hill AME Church 405 Rock Hill Rd. Vance, SC beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
