LaTonia Riley-Evans Obituary

Mrs. Latonia Renee Riley-Evans, 47, was born September 22, 1976, in Orangeburg, SC. Latonia was the daughter of Melvin Riley and the late Cynthia W. Riley. After an extended illness, she entered eternal rest on February 16, 2024.
“Tonia” as she was affectionately known, accepted Christ and was baptized and became a member of Beauty Hill Baptist Church in the Great Branch Community at an early age.
Tonia graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School, Class of 1995. She also attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.
She was employed with Orangeburg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board until her health failed.
Tonia leaves to cherish fond and beautiful memories her husband, Derwin Evans of Orangeburg, SC; father, Mr. Melvin Riley of Orangeburg, SC; one nephew raised in the home, JyQueez Riley; two daughters, Precious Gilyard, I’zhariyah Jenkins, both of Orangeburg, SC; one son, Sayquan Harrison of Orangeburg, SC; two brothers, Richard Kyzer and Stefan Riley, both of Orangeburg, SC; four uncles, Willie Williams, of Trenton, NJ, Kenny Riley of York, PA, Samuel E. (Sylvia) Williams, III, Orangeburg, SC, and Troy Flood, of Columbia, SC; four aunts, Betty J. Kennedy and Carolyn (Ronnie) Kennedy, both of York, PA, Ella Riley and Sydney Riley, both of Orangeburg, SC; mother-in-law, Ann Evans of Lane, SC; four sisters-in-law, Renee Riley of Orangeburg, SC, Silisia Evans Moses, Tamika Woodard, and Kia Gibson of Columbia, SC; two special friends, Yolanda Waymer, and Monique Eaddy Govan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.


The service will proceed as follows:


The viewing will be held on Friday, February 23,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 6:00pm.


The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 24,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 2:30pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
