Joseph Preston the fourth child of the late Nelson and Maggie Lou Preston, was born on January 15, 1957 in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
He dparted this life on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at The Regional Medical Center (TRMC) in Orangeburg, SC.

As the “baby” of the family, Joseph was a very special son, sibling and friend. There were no strangers in Joseph’s eyes, just new acuanintance.
Joseph graduated from Edisto High School in Cordova, SC. After graduating from high school, Joseph started his career as a truck driver and continued to drive until his retirement in 2019. Joseph also worked for DPU for nine years and Culpepper for two years.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents wife Mary Hardy Preston, brother, Charlie, and sister, Katherine Preston Ward.

Joseph leaves to cherish his fond precious memories; one son, Tony; two daughters Melissa and DD Harley; a special sister of the home, Carol Gail Hayward; a special nephew, Keith L. Ward of Washington, DC; four grandaughters; a special friend, Monique Busby; a special niece, Vanessa of Columbia, SC; one special aunt, Aslee Ripply of Washington, DC and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The service will proceed as follows:

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 5,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 12:00pm.
