Johnnie Simon was born on February 15, 1948 in Orangeburg County to the late John and Mildred Simon.
Johnnie was proceeded in death by his parents, one brother Stevie Simon and two sons Vincent and Harry.
After leaving Orangeburg SC, Johnny Simon migrated to Brooklyn, NY living his youthful years on Hancock Street. Johnnie spent most of those years and many more working and providing for his family as a truck driver of which he was devoted to. To those who knew him he was known as Johnny B Good. Johnnie had a love of cars and spent numerous hours fixing and remodeling his cars into antique quality. Johnnie was passionate about his family and could go hours telling stories and going down memory lane remembering the good and bad times but mostly good. Johnnie would tell those stories time and time again as if you had never heard him tell it before.
Johnnie Simon leaves to cherish fond memories of his two sisters, Georgia Mae and Joyce Ann, one brother William Henry, seven daughters, Daisy, Batiek, Carol, Sheena, Roxanne, Latisha, and Jade. seven sons, William, Frederick, Jermaine and Jermell, Charon, Percy and Westley. Johnnie also leaves to mourn his Ace Boom Koon Mellisa (cousin) and America who he also acknowledged as his little daughter, as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Aunt Fairey Bell and other relatives and dear friends.
The viewing will be held on Sunday, January 24,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home at 3:00pm until 7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Monday, January 25,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am.
