John Howard "Louie" Glover Obituary

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give at that day, and not to me only, but all them also that love his appearing” II Timothy 4:7-8


Life is but a vapor that appears for a little while then vanishes. On Tuesday, January 17,2023 the angels from heaven were sent down to this earth to take home the soul of Mr. John Howard “Sweet Louie” Glover. He departed this early world at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina following an extended illness.


John was born on March 28,1951 a son of the late Edward Glover, Sr. and the late Rebecca Tracy-Glover. He received his formal education in the public schools of Bowman, South Carolina. He was employed by Holt’s Garage in Bowman, South Carolina as a mechanic.


John was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: James Edward, Jr., Danny, Larry, Kerma; six sisters: Catherine, Dorothy, Clara, Hattie Mae, Gladys and Elaine.


John leaves to cherish his fond memories five sisters: Alter Louise Summers, Nina (Rodney) Dunning, Audrey Fogle all of Bowman, SC, Brenda Haynes of Boise, ID, Carolyn (Lance) Adams of Columbia, SC; extended siblings: Sally D. Void-Jones, Reverend Keith Void, Reverend Wendell Void all of Orangeburg, SC, Teresa Void-Boyd of Rowesville, SC, Earl “Bolly” Void of Bronx, NY, Bobby Void of Brooklyn, NY, Dennis C. Void of New York, NY; one sister-in-law: Lorny Jackson-Glover of Bowman, SC, one brother-in-law: Leon Lucas of Bronx, NY; a devoted companion Marsha Glover of Anniston, AL, a caregiver: Cecelia Beaver of Anniston, AL; a best friend: Michael Ingram of Bronx, NY and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.


The service will proceed as follows:


The viewing will be held on Friday, January 27,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 7:00pm.


The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 28,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
