Jessie Bell Boyd- Livingston

Jessie Bell Boyd Livingston was born on July 31, 1939, in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late Wesley Berry and Estelle Glover Berry. She entered into eternal rest on September 26, 2022, at the age of 83 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Jessie Bell was an active member of Forest Chapel UM Church and served as Finance Secretary and Choir Member. Jessie Bell graduated as Salutatorian from Bethune Memorial School in Bowman, SC. She was formerly employed at BowCar, Amblers Industries, Orangeburg County Schools, South Carolina State University and provided in-home daycare for many children and provided Foster Care for several children. For over 40 years, Jessie Bell served her community as an amazing seamstress and caterer. Many lives were touched by her kindness, and she will be remembered for putting her family first. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Jessie Bell is keenly familiar with her undeniable ability to light up a room with warm and beautiful smiles. She was great at making others laugh despite their situation. Looking out for others also came naturally to her and we will be forever grateful for the sacrifices she made for our family. She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Jerry Hercules Boyd and Barney Livingston, Sr., step-son Deryl Livingston, ten brothers and nine sisters.Jessie Bell leaves to cherish her fond memories, four children: Audrey (Dennis) Simmons of Orangeburg, SC; Deborah Waiters of Cam Arifjan, Kuwait; Angela (Ragen) Mitchell of Fishers, Indiana; and Pastor Wakeisha (Michael) Hawes of Moncks Corner, SC; two step children: Barney (Tiara) Livingston, Jr. of Aiken, SC and Peachie Livingston of Philadelphia, PA; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and other loving relatives and friends. Special thanks to Gregory Wideman as a dedicated and caring cousin/son. Although Jessie Bell has exited her earthly home, we will miss her dearly, however we find comfort in knowing that we will reunite with her again.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 4,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 7:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Exodus Baptist Church beginning at 1:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
