Ms. Jennifer “Jen” Louise Thompson, the daughter of the late Oscar Thompson and Flossie Bonaparte - Thompson was born in Orangeburg, SC on December 16, 1964. She peacefully departed the earthly life on July 18, 2024 at MUSC of Orangeburg.
Jennifer received her early education from Orangeburg Wilkinson High School where she graduated class of 1983. She studied at DeVry University in Atlanta, GA, where she graduated in nursing.
She was formerly employed at America Yard Products (AYP).
Jennifer was preceded in death by her late parents Oscar Thompson, Flossie Bonaparte-Thompson; siblings: Barbara Thompson, George Thompson, Bobby Thompson, Turner, Harriett Thompson-Bonaparte, Valerie Thompson, Kenneth Thompson; nephews: Marcus Guinyard and Kamyrion Guinyard.
Those left to cherish fond memories of Jennifer are her son Shamarky Johnson (Trena Bethea); three grandchildren: Jayla Mayes, Samariah Johnson, Kayden Johnson; and their mother: Kayla Mayes; siblings Zaretha (Wilford) Wine, Gordon (Barbara) Thompson; her step-father John H. Jones; aunt Alberta Bonaparte; and special friend, Jasper Clark all of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Also to cherish her fond memories host of nieces, nephews, and two best friends Ann Mintz and Michelle Cleckley all whom brought joy and love to her life.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Saturday, August 3,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, August 4,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID--19 rules and regulations.
