Janie Bell Butler

Mrs. Jannie Bell Briggman Butler was born April 28, 1944 in Cordova, South Carolina to the late Charlie and Eva Mae Brown Briggman. Jannie departed this life for eternal glory on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. 

Jannie attended public school in Orangeburg County. She was a homemaker and later found employment with vari-ous companies. At an early age Jannie joined Gethsemane Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Ozzie, Daniel and Clarence Briggman; and two sisters: Annie Mae Riley and Eva Mae Middleton. 

Jannie was married to the late James Andrew Butler and from this union four children were born. 

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, her four children: Richard (Tiffany) Butler, Diana Butler, Jannie B. Waymer and Ann Marie Butler; one step-daughter, Sharonda Burns; grandchildren that was reared in the home: Tiffany Butler, Shameika Butler, Xavier Quattlebaum and Kendall Butler; thirteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren; one brother: Issac ( Renita) Butler; four sisters: Frances Mays, Bobbie Sue Reed, Inez Cokley and Doris Brown and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 from 1:00 until 7:00p.m. Graveside Services will be held February 6, 2021 at 11:00a.m. Belleville Memorial Gardens.
