Jacqueline LaFaye Benjamin

Mrs. Jacqueline Mayo Benjamin affectionately known as “Faye” was born to the late Charlie and Evelyn Lockhart, Jr. She was born on August 31,1957 in Hawkinsville, Ga. Jacqueline made a peaceful transition to her father’s house on Saturday, August 19,2023 at her daughter’s home.

At an early age she joined Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Orangeburg, Sc. Jacqueline was a graduate of Orangeburg- Wilkinson High School class of 1975. She held various janitorial jobs until her health declined.

Jacqueline married the love of her life James Benjamin.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husband James Benjamin; her parents Charlie and Evelyn Lockhart, Jr.; one brother Anthony Lockhart and her best friend Linda Kay Conway.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish her fond memories one daughter Ebony (Lewis) Benjamin; one brother Demetri Lockhart; one uncle Willie James Mayo; four grandchildren Arianna, Erin, Lewis, Jr., and Lavarius; three nephews Jacobia, Warren and Demetri, Jr.; four nieces Julia, Dinetrica, Autumn, and Antwanette; a godson Orlando Haynes and a host of other relatives and friends that will
miss her dearly.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Friday, August 25,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 7:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 26,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
