Jackie Legrand Shuler was born on January 12,1965 to the late Flora L. Shuler and Blease Shuler, Sr. in Orangeburg, SC. He departed this life on November 15,2024 after an extended illness.

As a child, he received his education at Bowman High. Over the years, he had several different trades. He was last employed at Meherrin Agricultural.
Jackie is remembered for his love of his family, fshing and building. He taught several of his nephews some of his building skills. When he wasn’t in the creek, he was on a roof. He also had a passion for cooking.

Jackie unyielding determination and spirit will forever inspire us all, as he leaves us with a legacy of strength and resilience.

Preceding him in death is his parents Flora and Blease Shuler.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his loving wife of 34years Lois Shuler, his son: Alexander Shuler, his daughter: Ashley Shuler, adopted son: DaJuan Johnson, his precious granddaughter: Allison “Button” Shuler, brothers: David Sistrunk and Blease Shuler, Jr., sister: Patsy (Hollis) Williams, sister-in-laws: Betty Wilson, Ruby Jenkins, Ethel (Micheal) Allen, Jannie Faty, Clara Washington, Caroline (Lincoln) Brice, Mary (Steven) Brice, and Deborah Fogle; brother-in-laws; Harvey Williams, Leroy (Gail) Williams, James Williams, Pernell Fogle, and Nathaniel Williams, an aunt: Elease Frazier, uncle: Nemiah (Bernice) Shuler, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends that will miss him dearly.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 20,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 21,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
