Henrietta Govan

Mrs. Henrietta Green Govan was born on February 10, 1947 to the late Henry Green and Mary C. Busby Green. She entered Eternal rest on April 8, 2022 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC. Henrietta was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and graduated from G.W. Carver School in Cope South Carolina.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Henrietta was a dedicate member of the Usher Board. She never met a stranger. To know her was to love her. She loves to travel and spend time with her family and always made time to grow her garden.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her sons Nathaniel Greene and Anthony Govan.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 55 years, Clyde Govan; son Richard Govan of Atlanta, GA, daughters Della Marie Govan of Orangeburg,SC and Tyisha Green of Cordova, SC; six grandchildren Richard D. Govan Jr. of Atlanta, Ga, Tevin Govan, Tynasha Greene, Cameron Green, Faybien Givens and Xavier A. Govan all of Orangeburg, SC, Antshana Govan of Columbus GA; five great grands; two daughter in-law; Jonona (Anthony)Green, Janet(Nathaniel)Green both of Orangeburg SC. Three sisters Febbie (Wash) Ryant of Cope, SC, Mae Alice Green of Hampstead, NY, Mary Ann (Edward) Moorer of Orangeburg, SC; Five brothers Henry Green Jr of Atlanta, Ga, Harry (Elizabeth) Green of Cope, SC, Arthur (Mary) Green of Orangeburg, SC, Marion Green of Bayshore, NY, James (Joyce) Green of Orangeburg, SC. Special niece Joyce (Pete) Jennings and special nephew Kenneth Green of Cordova, SC; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Thursday, April 14,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home from 12:00pm until 7:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Friday, April 15,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home chapel beginning at noon. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
