Mrs. Helen “MaMa” Berry Thomas, the daughter of the late Benjamin Berry, Sr. and the late Helen Mincer Berry, was born May 13, 1951. She gained her wings on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston, SC.
Helen attended the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a graduate of Wilkinson High School in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Helen was married to Joseph Thomas and to this union three sons were born.
Helen was a very hard worker who held several jobs. Her specialty was helping her husband in the cleaning business. She enjoyed family gatherings with friends and family.
Those left to cherish her memory: husband Joseph Thomas and three sons Andrae Berry of Columbia, South Carolina, Kevin Berry of Orangeburg, South Carolina, and Travers Berry of Columbia, South Carolina. One sister Ruth Green of Jersey City, New Jersey; two brothers Benjamin (Pearline) Berry and John (Vernell) Berry both of Orangeburg, South Carolina; and one aunt, Mary Mincer of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Her legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a circle of family and friends whose lives were touched by her grace and love.

The service will proceed as follows: 

The viewing will be held on Monday, June 2,2025 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm. 

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 3,2025 at North Orangeburg United Methodist Church 106 Kinard St. Orangeburg, SC 29118 beginning at 1:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
