Mr. Harry Lee (Hack) Jamison, was born on January 4, 1953 in Orangeburg, SC to the late David Lee and Beulah Johnson, but reared in the home of his grandmother the late Gertrude (Luck) Jamison. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina after an extended illness.
Mr. Harry Jamison received his education within the Orangeburg County Public School System. He graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1971. After high school, he enlisted into the United States Navy where he served Honorably for several years. Following his years of service, he attended Allen University in Columbia, SC and South Carolina State College (now University) in Orangeburg, SC. He was employed as a correctional officer with the Orangeburg County Detention Center and the South Carolina Department of Correction.
He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Lee (Rab) Jamison, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, La Tosha Pough of New Rochelle, NY, Shakena (Antonio) Dantzler of Louisville, KY; one son, Jaymie Jamison of Yonkers, NY; grandson DuShawn Pantoja, of New Rochelle, NY; Ex-Wife Pastor Brenda Pough of Orangeburg, SC; six sisters, Janie Mae Johnson, Jloundia Johnson, Cynthia Johnson, Evangelist Sandra Elaine Johnson (Curtis), Annie Louise Simpson (Rufus), Sherry M. Hughes (Allen) all of Orangeburg, SC; Aunts, Maxine Huckabee, Mary Louise Bateau of Brooklyn, NY; Carolyn Jamison, Delphine Jamison of Orangeburg, SC; sister-in-law, Mary Jamison of Orangeburg, SC; two special friends, Thomas (Tank) Shuler of Orangeburg, SC; and Osker (Tampa) Dugger of Tampa, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives and friends. Special thanks to his medical team Dr. Moustafa and staff at Fresenius Kidney center, and his devoted caretakers, Mrs. Ruth and Ms. Jennings.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Monday, December 28,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 7:00pm.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 29,2020 at Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery 305 Old Elloree Rd. Orangeburg,SC 29115 beginning at 11:00am.
