Harold Rolley Jr.

Mr. Harold Rolley, Jr, 63 years of age, entered into eternal rest and transitioned to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, in Charlotte, NC. Harold was born on September 13, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Harold Rolley, Sr. and Rebecca Brigmon Rolley.
Harold accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church in Bowman, SC where his parents were members. He attended elementary school in Philadel- phia, PA and completed his secondary education at Orange- burg-Wilkinson High School in 1973.
After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served as a Supply Specialist. While stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC, Harold married Victoria Keitt Rolley of Bowman, SC on July 24, 1975. To this union, one son, Harold Jermaine Rolley, was born. After departing the military, Harold spent many years working as an Inspec- tor for the City of New York in the Department of Transpor- tation. He was most recently employed with a firm in Char- lotte, NC.
Those who knew Harold, remember him as a quiet, warm, and reserved person. He is best described as a person with a gentle and kind spirit; to know him was to love him. Harold always found a way to inspire others by sharing positive ad- vice and encouraging words. He was also known to be a fashionable dresser.
Harold had many interests and past-times. He was an avid reader and enjoyed military history (particularly about the Marine Corps). He also enjoyed writing, gardening, and keeping abreast as well as buying the latest technology. Fishing was among his favorite activities.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Rolley, Sr. and Rebecca Rolley; and three brothers: Nathaniel Rolley and Steve Rolley of Orangeburg, SC and Otis Riley of Bow- man, SC.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: wife, Victoria Rolley and son, Harold Jermaine Rolley of Bronx, NY; brother: Gerry Rolley of Orangeburg, SC; two aunts: Alice Bradley of Philadelphia, PA and Willi Mae Brigmon of Elloree, SC; three sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will proceed as follows:

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Antioch Baptist Church located at 7640 Charleston Hwy in Bowman, South Carolina 29018 beginning at 11:00 am.
