Mr. Gregory “Gregg” Brooks Lee, son of the late Landy Lee Jr. and Mary C. Brooks Lee was born July 25, 1968 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. He attended the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a graduate of Hunter-Kinard-Tyler High School Class of 1986. At an early age he joined Busy Pond Baptist Church where he was a well-known member. He was also a member of The United States Army National Guard and The Bull Swap Masonic Lodge #312 of Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Gregg was joined in holy matrimony to Olympia Folonda Robinson Lee on October 22, 1994. This union was blessed with two children.
Gregg’s hobbies centered around sports. He was known for many things especially for playing basketball at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler High School. He was a master at shooting a three-point shot from half court to win a game. Along with being an exceptional player, he loved all types of sports as well. However, his favorite sports were basketball and football. Gregg was a devoted Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Lakers Fan. On Sundays, you could find Gregg watching the football games with his friends, Dexter Huggins, Tyrone Isaac, Willie Brown, Rufus Lindsey, and Maurice Yon. Due to his warm and sociable personality, he was loved by many. Gregg passed away peacefully and transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 22, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and his two brothers, Reginald Lee and James Wallace.
His wonderful life will forever be treasured in the lives of his wife Olympia Folonda Robinson Lee of Orangeburg, SC; Two sons, Dejuan Reginald Lee and Myron Gregory Lee both of Orangeburg, SC; Three sisters, Melinda Lee, Marilyn Lee, and Mary Jo (Melvin) Hart all of Norway, SC; One Aunt, Lillie Brooks of Branchville, S.C.; Mother-in-Law, Loretta Robinson of Orangeburg, S.C.; Father-in-Law, Nathan Robinson of Orangeburg, S.C. Brother-in-law, Daniel Robinson; A godchild, Keaton Singleton of Fayetteville, N.C. and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 2:00-7:00p.m..
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 28,2020 at Bushy Pond Baptist Church,1396 State Rd Norway, SC 29113 beginning at 2:30pm.Services will be streamed live on our Facebook page Glover's Funeral Home of Orangeburg. All those attending must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
