Mrs. Georgia Belle Burns, 83, was the daughter of the late George and Mae Belle Stephens Stevenson. She was born on October 7, 1937 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest in the early morning hours of December 30, 2020.
Mrs. Burns attended and received educational skills from the Mt. Zion Church School. She was a loyal employee and hard worker with Columbia Farms of West Columbia until her retirement.
At an early age Mrs. Burns joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cope, South Carolina where she received Christ as her Lord, Savior and was baptized. She labored in various church ministries and was a faith-ful servant who worked diligently until her move to Richland County.
Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her husband, the late Floyd Burns, Sr.; a daughter Doris Sutton-Davis, three sons: Harry Sutton, Claude Burns and Floyd Burns, Jr.; one brother, Willie Stevenson; three sisters: Justine Stevenson, Mary A. Kennerly and Nina M. Stevenson.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Monnie) Simpson, Jr., of Cope, South Carolina; one grand-daughter, Bridgett Burnette; grandsons: Christopher M. Simpson, Justin N. Simpson, Reginald Davis, Timothy Davis, Derrick Davis and Calvin Davis and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loving family and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 5,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home at 3:30pm until 7:00pm.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 6,2021 at Robinson Memorial Gardens 10234 Farrow Rd Blythewood,SC 29016 beginning at 12:00pm.
