Mr. Franklin Forrest was born on January 23, 1946 in Orangeburg County to Frank Forrest and Rebecca Felder. He transitioned to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Edisto Nursing Home.
At an early age, he joined Jerusalem United Methodist in Cope, South Carolina, now known as Edisto Fork United Methodist Church. He attended the public schools in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
He was a dynamic mechanic and loved working on automobiles until his health failed.
He enjoyed entertaining his family and friends. He was a loving husband and a loveable man that enjoyed life.
Mr. Forrest leaves fond cherished memories to his loving wife, Mrs. Dorothy G. Forrest of the home; his children, one son, Bernard Forrest and one daughter, Carolyn Smith, both of Orangeburg, South Carolina; his step-son, Savon Howell of Orangeburg, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Ashley (Richard) Hart of Orangeburg, South Carolina; two sisters, Rosa Lee Dixon and Sarah Bell Judson, both of Orangeburg, South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Shanna (Marvin) Smoak of St. Matthews, South Carolina; one brother-in-law, Teddie Green; father-in-law, Abraham (Carrie Bell) Green, step-father-in-law, Mr. Henry Buckman; two special nephews, Richard (Belinda Howard) and Christopher Buckman; special aunt, Betty Gardner; a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
